According to Quang Ninh Provincial Statistics - the unit directly investigating and surveying the spending and accommodation situation of tourist flows to Quang Ninh in 2025 - the spending level of tourists staying continues to increase compared to 2024.
For self-arranged accommodation tourists, domestic tourists have an average spending level of 3.676 million VND/turn, an increase of 10.2%.
In which, room rental costs accounted for 17.4%; food and beverage accounted for 26.1%; purchasing goods accounted for 26.9% and expenses for travel, sightseeing, entertainment all recorded an increase compared to the previous year.
International guests staying on self-arrangement accommodation have an average spending level of 4.443 million VND/visit, an increase of 9%, with main expenses for room rental, food, travel, sightseeing and shopping, in which shopping and entertainment expenses increased sharply.
For tourists staying on tours, the average spending of domestic tourists reached 3.674 million VND/turn, an increase of 9% compared to 2024. The spending structure mainly focuses on eating, shopping, room rental and travel.
International tourists staying on tours have an average spending level of 4.402 million VND/tour, an increase of 9%, of which expenses for sightseeing, entertainment, shopping and travel all increased compared to the same period last year.

Khách du lịch trong nước không lưu trú tự sắp xếp có mức chi bình quân 2,002 triệu đồng/lượt, tăng 11,1% so với năm 2024; trong đó chi cho ăn uống và mua hàng hóa chiếm tỉ trọng lớn. Khách trong nước không lưu trú đi theo tour có mức chi bình quân 2,113 triệu đồng/lượt, tăng 11%, với cơ cấu chi tiêu tương tự.

In general, the average spending per visitor to Quang Ninh reached more than 2.682 million VND, an increase of 9.49% compared to 2024.
In which, domestic tourists (both overnight and non-overnight) reached more than 2.609 million VND/trip, an increase of 11.25%; international tourists reached 2.954 million VND/trip, an increase of 3%.
Domestic tourist expenses increased significantly in terms of travel, shopping, entertainment and sightseeing, while food expenses increased slightly, room rental and medical expenses were equivalent to last year.
For international visitors, expenses all increased, notably expenses for entertainment, travel and shopping.
Analysis results show that the number of domestic tourists traveling in self-arranged form to Quang Ninh is much higher than tourists traveling on tours. The reason is that the proportion of households owning cars has increased, tourism promotion has been effectively implemented, and the transport infrastructure system, especially the Ha Long - Van Don - Mong Cai expressway, has created favorable conditions for tourists.
Regarding length of stay, the average number of days of stay of tourists in Quang Ninh reached 2.56 days, equivalent to 2024. In which, domestic tourists reached 2.34 days, a slight increase; international tourists reached 3.2 days, a significant decrease compared to the previous year.
In 2025, Quang Ninh province welcomed about 21.28 million visitors, an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached about 4.5 million, an increase of 18.4% compared to 2024 and domestic visitors reached about 16.78 million visitors, an increase of 10.4% compared to 2024; total revenue reached over 57,000 billion VND, an increase of 22.6% compared to 2024.
