On January 29, the Vietnam Education Union organized a Conference to summarize Trade Union activities in 2025 and deploy key tasks for 2026.
Attending the conference were Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL); Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union (GDVN).
According to the report of the Vietnam Education Union, in 2025, the Vietnam Education Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; focus on performing the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; applying technology and digital transformation in trade union activities; focusing resources on activities towards grassroots levels; paying special attention to officials, teachers, and workers (CBNGNLĐ) in difficult circumstances and low incomes.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, the Vietnam Education Union organized 2 programs: "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "Online Trade Union Tet Market" attracting nearly 1,000 officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers to participate; coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to support educational institutions, teachers and students affected by natural disasters and storms with a budget of over 11 billion VND.
Responding to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health, the Vietnam Education Union organized the "Thank you workers" program with the participation of 70 trade union officials and 120 union members who are service staff, drivers, garbage workers... Sub-units have implemented many practical activities, in the year there were 23,651 turns of CBNGNLĐ undergoing health check-ups and health care counseling; the work of visiting and supporting CBNGNLĐ due to serious illnesses and particularly difficult circumstances has been concerned...
Regarding the 2026 plan, the Vietnam Education Union set out 10 key tasks, including continuing to coordinate to effectively perform the function of caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers; effectively deploying emulation movements and campaigns in the industry; innovating women's work activities...
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the VGCL acknowledged and praised the results achieved by the VGCL in 2025.

Regarding the direction of activities in 2026 of the Vietnam Education Union, Vice Chairman Phan Van Anh proposed that the industry union develop programs, plans, and projects to concretize the goals and effectively implement the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Vietnam Education Union Congress; innovate the content and methods of operation, effectively implement the Project on comprehensive digital transformation, application of IT, digital transformation in trade union activities; continue to deepen the emulation movement and campaigns. Encourage, motivate and create opportunities for officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers to study, train, conduct scientific research, transfer technology...; promote union member development, build strong trade union organizations; care for the substance and protect the legitimate rights and interests of officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers in the context of rearranging the apparatus and merging universities.
At the conference, 4 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the VGCL; 5 collectives and 27 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the VGCL for their outstanding achievements in the labor emulation movement and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2025; 1 collective and 1 individual were awarded Certificates of Merit from the VGCL for their outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement in 2025.
